1. Speak with your neighbours about the benefits and find out if they’re interested.

2. Decide how you and your neighbours want to keep in touch with each other. For example, via a WhatsApp group.

3. Pass on crime prevention tips and any local crime news your neighbours might find useful.

4. Request free Neighbourhood Watch window stickers and street signs. (See contact link)

5. Sign up to Neighbourhood Alerts.

6. See if there are any webinars or videos you and your neighbours would find useful.

7. Keep up-to-date. Send us your contact details – we’ll keep you in the loop.

 

If you feel your scheme is going well, you can also make it more formal by registering it on the National Database.
